On Saturday night (26th April), join us for our first bat walk of the summer season! Learn all about these amazing mammals while we show you how to spot and record them as part of the City Nature Challenge!
The nights are getting warmer, which can only mean one thing...our favorite nighttime flyers are out and about!
As part of our series of events for the 2025 City Nature Challenge, our wonderful volunteers will guide you through the bat-spotting hotspots of Lagan Meadows. We ask you all to arrive promptly at 8:30 p.m. at the Lagan Meadows entrance at Knightsbridge Park (beside the YMCA).
Because the City Nature Challenge is a global competition to see which city can record the most species, we will record our findings on the iNaturalist app. We encourage participants to download the app and create a profile so we can all contribute to this citizen science effort!
*Appropriate footwear is required for participation. Hiking boots or other closed-toed shoes with a good grip are recommended.
