Linking Natural Heritage And Folklore

We have a landscape that is rich in stories and in wildlife. 

The fairy thorn untouched by plough orspade, the selkie that slips between worlds at our shore, the wren – little but mighty, king of the birds.

This rich vein of culture did not emerge from our imagination alone, it has grown from a deep andintimate familiarity with the wild places and species that we share this land with.

We asked Belfast-based artists to explore the places where myth and nature meet, where cultural heritage and natural heritage are revealed as an inheritance that have deeply enriched one another.
